Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III at Sysco, Fargo, North Dakota, United States – Full Time (Remote: Yes, Telecommute: Yes)

Job Summary Provide safe, reliable, and cost‑efficient vehicles through quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, expert diagnosis, and repair to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
Conduct annual FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles and company‑owned equipment.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, converter dollies, refrigeration units, lift‑gates, and light‑duty vehicles.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in engines, transmissions, clutches, drive‑line, differential, steering, suspension, fuel, ignition, exhaust, intake, electrical, brake, HVAC, and lift‑gate systems.
Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write‑ups promptly.
Document all work performed on work orders.
Mentor and train Fleet Technicians I and II and perform moderate supervisory roles when needed.
Conduct electrical meter testing, complete electrical repairs, and welding projects as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, not required).
Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training: 2‑year school plus 4 years experience or 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification.
ASE certifications, EPA Section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609, HVAC & Refrigeration Certification.
Expert knowledge in vehicle systems, electrical and refrigeration repairs, and preventive maintenance inspections.
Proficiency with computer‑based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces.

Compensation & Benefits Pay: $26.25–$40.10 per hour (based on experience). Sign‑On Bonus up to $7,500. 3rd shift available (Sunday–Tuesday, 6 pm–6 am).
