Salary $165,000 - $225,000 per year

Responsibilities

Managing all business aspects with the team for multiple concurrent projects ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining established quality standards.

Actively managing the workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff, promoting client development while developing professional skills of project management staff.

Promoting positive customer relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all contractors, subcontractors and vendors, and continually instilling this philosophy in the business unit with regards to safety, quality, customer service and profitability.

Initiating, executing, and documenting a quality pre‑con, start‑up meeting aligned with company standard.

Accountable for contract management, claims and dispute resolution.

Working with the Estimating department to review estimates, RECAPS and turnover as well as the ability to estimate and procure electrical projects in a competitive market successfully.

Acting as a mentor for new and existing Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Assistant Project Managers on the team.

Performing weekly/monthly reviews with teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality of work, safety, administration and profitability.

Ensuring qualified personnel are in place for specific assignments that will meet project deliverables and making specific project assignments to meet project needs.

Scheduling, facilitating, and documenting project close‑out meetings; verifying project data sheets and photos (with client’s permission) for all completed projects.

Driving division profitability through effective project execution.

Developing the organization to achieve excellence through continuous improvement; supporting lesson learned activity and implementing identified initiatives.

Ensuring adherence to company standards of quality, safety, and best practices.

Recruiting, managing, and developing the group of direct reports.

Being responsible for work assignments, hiring, termination, promotions, and performance appraisals, as needed.

Reviewing the overall contractual requirements/risks for all projects.

Managing the project review process with emphasis on ensuring quality financial forecasting.

Ensuring construction estimates are completed to align with project workflow and customer master schedule.

Proactively and systematically communicating challenges, risks and successes to the team and all direct reports.

Providing and maintaining annual business plans in conjunction with the overall company, updating results on a quarterly basis.

Demonstrating a consistent ability to conduct daily tact and professionalism in communicating with external and internal customers.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Minimum 15 years’ experience in selling, estimating, and managing multi‑million dollar Commercial Construction or Advanced Technology projects.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10 years’ construction project experience; or in lieu of degree, 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman or General Foreman on large projects, plus 10 years as a Project Manager required.

Proven record of successful relationships and marketing skills, preferred.

Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods, required.

Must have proven experience managing 100k+ man‑hour projects.

Proven experience with heavy power distribution systems, instrumentation installation, and process control and system integration, required.

Thorough applied knowledge of project QA/QC procedures and system turnover.

Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in labor, material, and contract management.

Competency in earned‑value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors.

Proven ability to complete a detailed take‑off and all required estimating for electrical projects.

Relevant experience in electrical subcontracting is a must.
