Immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Orlando, Florida.

Position Details
Pay: $26.50 per hour
Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification (up to $700)
Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter (four times per year)
Sign‑On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
Schedule: Monday through Friday, weekends off
Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or technical certification or post‑secondary degree preferred
Basic tools required
Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Routine preventative maintenance experience (oil changes, brake and tire work)
2+ years of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
Valid CDL Class A required, preferred
Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Perform standard vehicle maintenance
Inspect and repair components
Perform preventive maintenance
Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostics computer as needed
Identify root cause of failures and perform repairs
Replace defective components as instructed
Perform facility maintenance duties
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
Utilize shop management system and electronic documentation
Work according to federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines
Provide support duties as required (e.g., service island support)
