Agilitech
The Journeyman Electrician works with installing, repairing, and maintaining solar setups. The Journeyman Electrician reads and interprets blueprints to assist in working with electrical systems and instrumentation. The Journeyman Electrician is also responsible for training Electrician Apprentices and unlicensed Electricians in preparation for completing the apprenticeship and/or taking the California State Exam.

Pay Range: $38-$46 Hourly (Non-Exempt)
A large portion of our work falls under California prevailing wage projects, offering higher hourly rates as set by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), above standard industry pays.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN
Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises the work of unlicensed electricians and helpers engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, instrumentation, and PLC panels
Develops and maintains positive interpersonal relations with other department personnel
Performs regular maintenance of devices and equipment for testing and research
Works with apprentice staff to better their electrical field knowledge
Interprets blueprints, schematics, specifications, and electrical drawings
Uses power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment associated with the electrical trade
Interprets power distribution applications, including substations, MCCs, and switchgear
Sizes and installs rigid and ocal conduit systems
Sizes, installs, and terminates cable and wire
Performs preventative maintenance on variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, pumps, generators, etc.
Installs and/or repairs faulty equipment, wiring, or control devices
Ensures compliance with NEC, NFPA, Performance Work Statement, and applicable regulations
Performs other related duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS FOR JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN
A valid driver’s license is required. This role involves the regular operation of company vehicles to transport tools, materials, and personnel. Driving is an essential function of the job.
High School diploma or equivalent
Current California Electrical Journeyman’s license - A requirement of California prevailing wage projects.
Energy, Food & Beverage, or other industry experience is a plus
Experience installing cable trays, loop checking, and troubleshooting
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
