Now Hiring: Credit & Collection Specialist – Retail Accounts (Home Depot & Lowe's Focus)
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit & Collection Specialist to join our Corporate Credit Team. This role focuses on managing accounts receivable for major retail customers—specifically Home Depot and Lowe's—ensuring timely collections, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall credit function with clerical and reporting tasks.

Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage collection activities for a portfolio of assigned corporate accounts, with a focus on Home Depot and Lowe’s
Monitor, analyze, and minimize delinquent receivables; identify and resolve payment discrepancies
Provide supporting documentation to customers in the required formats
Investigate causes of delinquency and escalate unresolved issues
Reconcile accounts, process adjustments, and identify trends or risks
Apply payments accurately (checks, wires, ACH) based on customer remittance
Research and resolve unapplied cash, credits, and deduction issues
Maintain account records and assist in onboarding new accounts
Assist in generating reports for credit and collections management
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, mailing, and invoice/statements processing
Support ad‑hoc projects and cross‑functional credit activities as needed
Qualifications
5+ years of business‑to‑business credit and collections experience, preferably in the retail sector
Experience with Home Depot and Lowe’s accounts strongly preferred
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); excellent 10‑key typing skills
Strong communication, documentation, and customer service abilities
Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Quiet, climate‑controlled office environment
Requires regular use of computer and phone
May involve occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs
