Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our rapidly growing company. This role will be integral in shaping the financial future of our organization, handling all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, CFO and senior management.
Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Supervise the investment and cash management strategies of the company.
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long‑range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist the CEO, CFO, and the Board of Directors in performing their responsibilities.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. An MBA, CPA or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential.
Strong problem‑solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision‑making.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
