The Loan Review Consultant will be an important part of the Elliott Davis Financial Services Assurance team. The Loan Review Consultant performs reviews of loans to ensure compliance with established policies and standards. As an engaged member of the team, all the while you will be developing relationships with clients and building a professional network. As a member of the Assurance Practice Group, adherence to the firm’s mission, vision, and values is critical to the practice group’s success.
Responsibilities
Perform clear, concise, and well‑supported independent loan reviews of various complexities at financial institutions ranging from $50 million to $15 billion.
Identify adverse trends in underwriting, portfolio management, and specific credit weaknesses.
Become a subject matter expert in one area of lending.
Assist with business development and be aware of collaborative opportunities with other financial institution service lines in the firm.
Efficiently navigate financial institution loan policies and procedures.
Respond to clients and managers in a timely manner.
Other additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
Minimum 3‑5 years in banking and/or loan review consulting.
Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines related to the lending function at the State and Federal level.
Credit Risk Certification or willingness to sit for exam.
