Accounts Payable Specialist
The Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for processing invoices and vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities
Process a high volume of PO and non-PO vendor invoices across multiple platforms daily. Process freight invoices against freight contracts Coding invoices to multiple locations, accounts, and cost centers. Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Tracks invoices through the approval process. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice / expense reports. Prepare EFT payments and print checks for vendor invoices semi-weekly in a timely manner. Record vendor wire and other manual payments into the financial system. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and may assist with vendor maintenance. Review vendor statements for discrepancies to ensure timely receipt of invoices and payments. Monitors discount opportunities to ensure timely application with vendor payments. Manage AP Inbox to provide support to internal and external customers in a professional manner. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Education and Formal Training
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Some college coursework in a related field preferred Minimum of two (2) years of recent full-cycle Account Payable experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience with high volume processing (1200-1300 per month) Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Proficient in Dynamics Great Plains or similar accounting software required High standards of accuracy and high-level attention to detail Intermediate proficiency MS Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience with 10-key Experience processing invoices for multiple locations preferred Benefits
