Shawnee Health is seeking a Billing Specialist for our Shawnee Health Howerton House office in Carterville, Illinois. This position reports directly to the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager.
Responsibilities
Answers incoming calls to the department
Performs follow up for collection of insurance for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and self-pay claims in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Must live within a 50-mile radius of Carterville, Illinois
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial billing guidelines preferred
Starting salary - $16.00 - 18.00/hour, based on experience.
