Position Overview We are seeking a GIA Graduate or graduate gemologist preferred, or a candidate with a strong bookkeeping or accounting background, who is highly organized, detail oriented, and eager to work hands on with diamonds and fine jewelry. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants direct exposure to diamond and jewelry evaluation, inventory management, and the financial operations of a jewelry buying business. The position is centered on bookkeeping, inventory control, and supporting diamond and fine jewelry appraisal and acquisition in a fast paced, high trust environment.
Responsibilities
Manage basic bookkeeping, financial records, and transaction documentation
Maintain and organize diamond and fine jewelry inventory
Accurately track purchases, acquisitions, and client records
Support diamond and fine jewelry appraisal and acquisition processes
Work closely with GIA trained professionals to learn industry evaluation standards
Assist with day to day office and operational tasks
Maintain strict organization, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Qualifications
Strong Bookkeeping or accounting experience is a must
GIA Graduate or graduate gemologist preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working with numbers, inventory systems, and documentation
Genuine interest in diamonds, fine jewelry, and luxury goods
Self motivated with a proactive mindset
Professional demeanor and discretion
