Description We are seeking a highly motivated and client‑focused Retirement Plan Advisor / Relationship Manager to deliver comprehensive retirement and financial planning solutions. This role involves managing client relationships, providing investment guidance, facilitating retirement plan administration, and driving business growth by capturing rollovers, increasing participant participation, and generating new business referrals and leads.
Responsibilities
Deliver tailored financial planning and retirement strategies for individuals, business owners, and professionals.
Conduct annual and quarterly retirement plan administration reviews, implement client retention initiatives, and manage ongoing client relationships.
Provide compliance guidance and promptly address client inquiries related to retirement plans.
Educate and advise plan participants, including one‑on‑one retirement investment consultation.
Maintain broad knowledge of investment products including equities, fixed income, cash, and alternatives.
Provide expert consultation on plan design, administration, plan conversions, and employee education programs while delivering best‑in‑class customer service.
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships by understanding client needs, cross‑selling services, and capturing rollover opportunities; grow business by actively seeking referrals and developing new client relationships.
Participate in professional development and training to stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
Strong understanding of 401(k) plans and retirement plan services.
Ability to educate clients and plan participants on complex retirement rules, regulations, and features.
Aptitude for business development and relationship‑building experience.
Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines with flexibility and independence.
Ability to generate business growth through referrals and rollover opportunities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Analytical, strategic thinking with self‑motivation and initiative.
Team‑oriented, demonstrating collaboration across departments.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Experience in retirement plan services, financial advising, or wealth management preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and multiple financial systems.
Industry certifications (QKA®, CFP®, etc.) preferred or willingness to obtain.
Hours
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
Occasional overnight and day travel required.
