Admissions Representative – Springfield, IL
Midwest Technical Institute, an established career college with campuses throughout the Midwest and Mississippi Delta region, is seeking a full‑time Admissions Representative to join our Springfield, Illinois campus.
Job Summary
As the first point of contact for prospective students, you will provide exceptional service, answer inquiries about our programs, schedule campus visits, and guide students through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
Core Responsibilities
Respond to inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, text, and chat, providing detailed information about programs, campus locations, and the admissions process.
Provide an engaging, informative, and positive student experience on behalf of MTI.
Follow up with students during the enrollment process, including outbound calls, inbound inquiries, and scheduling follow‑up appointments.
Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and support services.
Meet with prospective students to assess program interest and career goals.
Facilitate student meetings with the Financial Aid department or Student Accounts.
Administer admissions assessments and collect supporting documents to determine eligibility for program acceptance.
Maintain a professional attitude and manner that reflects MTI’s high standards and commitment to shaping student futures.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and dress code.
Ensure all work activities comply with federal regulations and internal compliance standards.
Keep informed of departmental activities, including enrollment projections and upcoming start dates.
Provide relevant updates to the Director of Admissions and Campus President regarding trends, potential challenges, and key insights.
Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and ensure a positive experience for all students throughout the admissions journey.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the Admissions department and the broader goals of Midwest Technical Institute.
Consistently adhere to all institutional policies, procedures, and standards as required by the position and MTI.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of related work experience required.
Training in Customer Service preferred.
Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer‑focused mindset with a professional and friendly demeanor.
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
Proficiency with CRM systems, student information systems, and basic office software.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment.
Infrequent travel to campuses for off‑site training – less than 5%.
Full‑time role with a standard 40‑hour workweek; occasional overtime may be required.
