Family Office Accountant – Kingsley Business Service, Inc
Kingsley Business Service, Inc (KBS) is an Administrative Multi-Family Office for ultra high net worth individuals who seek high quality management of their financial lives. KBS is looking for a Family Office Accountant who is looking to make Family Office Accounting a long term career. This position is ideal for someone that has previous experience in public accounting and tax preparation and is looking to do something new. In addition to the tasks listed below, it is expected that this position will take on more senior accounting functions and oversee reporting created for clients. The position also has the potential to evolve into a managerial role overseeing internal staff. It is imperative that the candidate work a full time schedule and travel to the Millis, MA office a minimum of two days a week.
Responsibilities
Maintain Quickbooks files on client partnerships and corporations. Includes all data entry and monthly report creation.
Month end duties including preparing and posting journal entries
Review general ledger accounts and post any corrections/discrepancies
Prepare monthly financial reports and related schedules and review for accuracy
Research discrepancies and correct any issues found in a timely manner
Account reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
Ad Hoc Reporting utilizing Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
Direct interaction with clients on all family office needs
Work within a team environment to ensure all client needs are addressed
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
5+ years in General Accounting, financial reporting and analysis preferred
Knowledge and prior experience in tax preparation a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must have a strong understanding of bank reconciliation
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and on a team
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and account analysis.
Experience and/or strong interest in Family Office Accounting
