Work schedule: Hybrid – WFH Tuesday and Friday, Office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Job Summary The Business Analyst combines business acumen with industry and company knowledge to solve problems, think critically, and assist in the execution of the company's analytic initiatives. This role leverages technical expertise to gather information, obtain data from internal and external sources, analyze trends, and make recommendations to the leadership team. The Business Analyst role is responsible for gathering the necessary requirements from the customer and creating documentation to support the analytics being produced. This role is responsible for presenting findings and suggesting improvements for data quality and workflow improvements.
Responsibilities
Understands proper validation principles
Understands fundamental data model environment
With direction, present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data outputs
With direction, provide moderate analysis and ad hoc operational reports as requested
With direction, provide in depth “what if” analysis of data using available tools
Execute data integrity/validation routines
Utilize problem solving skillset to triage and solve basic business problems and issues
Participate in multi‑disciplinary teams to use data in improving usage and operational workflow
Use and support database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, applications, and workflow functions
Format, execute, distribute, and interpret reports using the available tools
Respond to requests for reporting using standard templated or pre‑defined reporting
Intake, triage, respond and resolve Help Desk requests from users
Escalate to and collaborate with department leadership on program issues and risks to identify solutions
Works with customers and dept leadership to gather reporting requirements
Document business and technical specifications and requirements
Create and update user documentation for reporting tools
Involved in unit testing of reporting tools
Involved in integrated testing of reporting tools
Understands the Information Technology development lifecycle
Basic Understanding of navigating clinical, financial, and operational subsystems in order to support unit testing of reporting tools
Execute testing plans as defined by department leadership
Obtain field feedback on usage activities to continuously improve Reporting & Analytics output
Collaborate and build relationships with IT developers and leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required (Business related, Mathematics, or Science preferred)
2+ years of experience required
Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements
Basic understanding of ambulatory financial and operational metrics
Basic understanding of ambulatory clinical workflow and EMR’s
SQL experience preferred, intermediate Excel knowledge required
Power BI and Power Query highly preferred
Able to communicate with C‑level leadership
