We’re looking for a
Refund Coordinator
to help ensure timely and precise processing of refunds for payers and patients.
What You’ll Do:
Audit and process refunds for overpayments
Reconcile accounts and prepare accurate documentation
Maintain an error rate below 2% on audits and paperwork
Collaborate with finance to resolve discrepancies within 3 business days
Track and report refund trends monthly
Apply knowledge of behavioral and physical health billing, CPT/HCPCS/Rev codes, and payer processes
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
Support compliance with payer and internal guidelines
Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Healthcare billing, payment posting, refund, voids and credit/balance experience (minimum 5 years)
Proficiency in CPT/HCPCS/Rev codes
Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Behavioral or physical health billing experience
Familiarity with payer-specific refund processes
Advanced Excel or data analysis skills
Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards
Work Style: Mostly remote with occasional in-office collaboration (1x a week)
Compensation: $48,000 / year – $57,000 / year
