LHH is collaborating with a small Non‑Profit company dedicated to providing exceptional value and making a difference locally. Located near Sacramento, this company offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where innovation and expertise are highly valued and rewarded. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems. Compliance with filing deadlines for payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, W2s, 1099s and other required filings. Compliance with account policies and regulatory requirements. Monthly and annual close process to ensure timely, accurate reporting. Monitoring of cash levels. Analysis of monthly financial results and reporting to management. Preparation of grant budgets and other information for grant proposals. Coordination with independent auditor to complete the annual audit and provide information for other audits as required. Develop and manage the annual budget including preparation of periodic budget forecasts. Maintaining complete filing system to support financial records, implement document disposal policy annually. Maintaining grant proposals, awards and agreements to support financial transactions. Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the Non-Profit industry Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Bachelor’s degree in accounting in finance or accounting, CPA a plus 3+ years working in accounting Ability to work and effectively communicate with leadership staff and board members. Organized and detail-oriented Outstanding communicator both verbally and written Employment type
