Cost Accountant – Manufacturing
We are seeking a Cost Accountant with experience in a manufacturing environment to support cost accounting, reporting, and operational decision‑making. This role focuses on analyzing production costs, yields, and variances to ensure accurate financial reporting and improved manufacturing efficiency.
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Job Duties
Maintain and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
Track, calculate, and analyze production yields, scrap, and process losses.
Perform cost and variance analysis and partner with operations to explain results.
Support month‑end close activities, including inventory valuation and cost‑related journal entries.
Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and costing data within the ERP system.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive cost transparency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing yields, scrap, and efficiency metrics.
Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
Proficiency with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
Ability to communicate financial information to operational teams.
