Job Summary
Under general supervision, position provides for maintaining electrical equipment and distribution systems in safe operations. Makes repairs, preventative maintenance, installs and performs safety testing on all electrical components within the facility. Requires independent effort with limited supervision; establishes course of action and develops methods to obtain results; recommends and/or implements practices, procedures in areas of expertise. Incumbent shall guide and oversee maintenance Zone Mechanics and other trade specific mechanics when they are assigned and performing electric work.
Qualifications Education
Completed apprenticeship program, satisfied licensing requirements for master electrician.(Required)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
Licensed Master Electrician in State of Maryland. License must be kept active and in good standing. (Required)
Experience and Skills
7 years’ related work experience (Required)Hospital experience (Preferred)
Strong Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, ability to maintain proper records and operational data.
Physical Requirements and Physical Demands
Adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Hears alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice.
Must be able to accurately document pertinent information either by writing or typing.Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motion.
Must have good manual dexterity.
Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
