Overview We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Lead Floor Technician to join our team. In this leadership role, you will oversee floor care operations, support crew members, and ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards. The Lead Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of floors in commercial buildings. This position includes year-round, steady work and requires the ability to use company‑provided mobile apps for routing and job completion documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support floor care crew members during daily operations.

Perform a variety of floor cleaning and maintenance tasks, including carpet care and hard‑surface floor care using manufacturer‑approved methods.

Strip, seal, wax, buff, and scrub floors to restore and maintain appearance.

Use proper cleaning solutions and equipment to remove stains, spills, and debris from different floor types.

Upload photos of completed work using a mobile app.

Use a company phone with a routing app to follow assigned schedules and job locations.

Operate and help maintain floor care machinery such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.

Follow established cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or floor care is preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of floor types, cleaning chemicals, and appropriate floor care techniques.

Familiarity with carpet cleaning equipment and methods.

Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot floor care machinery.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and lead by example.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Honest, dependable, and able to maintain integrity in all tasks.

Reliable transportation to and from the starting location.

Availability Monday–Friday, typically beginning at 6:00 am until the building is complete (usually 6–10 hours).

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime when needed.
