Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking an MIS Helpdesk Technician. The individual will assist our customers with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software. This is a full‑time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties
Work with customers remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency.
Provide quick and effective assistance with information technology systems.
Listen attentively to customers’ questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions.
Guide customers remotely and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Respond to tech inquiries via email, online chats, phone, or in person.
Infer, inquire, and transcribe day‑to‑day hardware/software issues.
Delegate advanced issues and elevate when higher priority.
Collaborate with teammates to stay up to date on need‑to‑know information.
Follow up with end users and teammates to ensure good support.
Education And/or Experience
Bachelor's degree or minimum of four years of college education in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
