Technician, Low Voltage, Licensed @ Walmart
Base Pay Range $33.00/hr - $63.00/hr
Position Summary This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments and performing additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned. Below are the essential functions of the role.
Essential Functions
Set up and configure various low voltage systems (security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling). Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards. Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
Identify and resolve issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime. Fix any faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored to optimal working condition. Provide technical support and training to end users on how to operate and maintain low voltage systems.
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently. Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Generate reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities. Evaluate existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed and perform system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices, supporting business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identify business needs; determine and carry out necessary processes and practices; monitor progress and results; recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities; and adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Model compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company mission, values, and ethics by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; use the Open Door Policy; and demonstrate and assist others in applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Physical Activities Read information often in small print, visually verify information, communicate effectively in person or by telecommunications equipment, create documents and reports using a writing instrument or electronic device, and enter and locate information on electronic devices.
Travel Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work‑sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.
