Graduate & Undergraduate Recruiter position located in Milwaukee, WI. Full time. Regular employment.
Key Job Responsibilities
May supervise staff and/or lead a program area.
Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities.
Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures.
Schedules logistics, secures resources, and attends events to promote the MS Data Science & Applied Artificial Intelligence and BS Data Analytics programs locally, regionally, and nationally.
Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
Engages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the programs to prospective students.
Works with the Program Advisor/Administrative Specialist in developing recruitment and promotional plans.
Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement.
Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals.
Provides regular updates on recruitment metrics.
Participates in the Majors Fair and Graduate School Open House each year.
Any other duties related to promotion and recruitment that arise over time.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
One year or more of experience in student recruitment related activities.
Demonstrated written communication skills, as evidenced through application materials.
Ability to maintain flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary to accommodate programming needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Demonstrated understanding of recruitment and marketing techniques, and related computer applications.
Experience working in higher education in recruitment, career and/or academic advising.
Experience developing and managing recruitment programs and events.
Networking experience with professional associations and interfacing with the business community.
