We have a history in successfully taking concepts through to actual finished solutions. Our work spans a wide range of market segments including mobility/automotive, aerospace, robotics, and clean energy, to name a few. We are passionate about solving complex engineering challenges, striving for excellence within every unique project constraint, and believe in having fun while we do it! About the role

We are seeking a motivated IT Systems Administrator to be the backbone of our internal technology operations. In this role, you will be the vital link between traditional IT support and modern automation, significantly enhancing our company's efficiency and security. You will tackle a variety of engaging challenges, from automating employee onboarding to guaranteeing the robustness and reliability of our network. You will also provide essential tech support to our talented engineers and support staff. This position is an excellent opportunity for a proactive problem-solver to advance their skills in automation. What you’ll do

Automation & Process Improvement

Proactively identify repetitive IT tasks and create well-documented, robust automations to eliminate manual work and minimize human error. Design, build, and maintain automated workflows for employee onboarding and offboarding. Develop and maintain scripts to automate processes and create integrations with our key cloud platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, and NetSuite. Assist in managing our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scripting, monitoring, and service maintenance. IT Operations & Desktop Support

Act as the primary point of contact for all internal IT support. Provide timely and helpful assistance to all employees by troubleshooting hardware (macOS, Windows), software, and peripheral issues. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our office network infrastructure (Wi‑Fi, firewalls, switches) to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Manage IT hardware inventory, procurement, and deployment. Create and maintain clear documentation for all systems, processes, and automation workflows. Monitor, maintain, and evaluate our company-wide subscription services. Qualifications

A degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrated scripting ability (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). Hands‑on experience with supporting and troubleshooting modern operating systems (macOS, Windows). A solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPNs). A passion for automation—you see a manual, repetitive task as a chance to build a better solution. A user‑centric and helpful demeanor with excellent communication skills and the ability to patiently explain technical concepts to non‑technical colleagues. Strong project management skills and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. A persistent problem‑solver with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of projects. The ability to occasionally travel to Motivo satellite offices located in Southern California (less than 10%). We’re convinced that the team and projects are hands down the best part of working at Motivo, but we also have some pretty sweet benefits, including company‑wide profit sharing, high‑quality insurance plans, 401k match, generous paid vacation time, a Monday‑Thursday 4/10 work week and more! Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Salary is dependent on experience, knowledge, and interview performance.
