We're looking for a talented
System Administrator
to join our team in
Columbia, SC . This position will support a complex government client and will require 24/7 Tier 2 Technical Helpdesk and Operational support for a complex government client. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift as needed.
Work Location: Onsite – 100% onsite in Columbia, SC.
Clearance: Must be US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide 24/9 remote, over-the-phone administration, support, and technical assistance to a large government enterprise environment.
Provide 24/7 managing and monitoring of critical IT infrastructure in a Network Operations Center environment.
Must possess a solid working knowledge of networks, servers and desktop applications with the ability to multitask while monitoring and working through issues on both phone calls and emails.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
6 years IT Help customer support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment comparable to a large government enterprise environment; OR
6 years of experience in a Computer, Windows Active Directory, network, IT operations, and IT hardware support in an IT environment; AND
Minimum 2 years IT customer support experience
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Perform steady-state system administration and monitoring, including troubleshooting, patching, hardware/software upgrades, backups, data storage/retrieval, replication, optimization, documentation updates, and research for configuration or system issues.
Administer and support Windows Active Directory environments, including file/print servers, domain controllers, application servers, storage systems, access control, hardware installs, cabling, equipment moves, power support, backup media rotations, OS upgrades/configurations, and system recovery.
Provide steady-state support for desktop and laptop deployments using enterprise imaging tools; perform routine updates, monitor OS/security patching, and manage software deployment via tools such as BigFix and SCCM. Utilize printer/MFP management tools and maintain compliance with enterprise standards.
Support and maintain enterprise-wide SCCM deployments.
Monitor and support enterprise management tools such as HP SIM, SolarWinds, CommVault, vCenter, NICE Vision, EVOIP Nagios, SCCM, SCSM, SCOM, Splunk, Cisco Prime, Dell OpenManage, and custom SharePoint sites.
Provide steady-state support for enterprise Active Directory environments, including current Microsoft Server technologies and associated hardware/software.
Manage enterprise-wide upgrades and changes; proactively monitor systems for issues and ensure compliance with standards. Maintain AD/DC components including DNS, OUs, Sites/Subnets, GPOs, ACLs, and user/group account administration, along with backup/recovery operations.
Provide secondary systems administration support including monitoring, access control, hardware installs, cabling, equipment moves, power support, backup media rotations, OS configurations, troubleshooting, and system recovery under remote staff guidance.
Support enterprise-wide backup, restore, and recovery operations.
