Qualified Medication Assistant QMA Midnight Shift

Our most important goal is to provide the highest standard of care to our residents in an environment that is safe and secure. As a QMA, you will be responsible for improving our residents’ experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Your focus will be the basic quality-of-life for our residents, so duties such as recording vitals, providing ambulatory assistance, and attending to medication needs will be key in the individualized care.
Responsibilities
Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications commonly used in the campus and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director.
Follow the medication card practices of the facility.
Record the medication order in the resident’s clinical record, including type, route, dosage, frequency, and strength.
Accurately measure, record, and report the vital signs of residents.
Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and physical safety.
Practice good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
Greet and assist all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, especially when conveying sensitive information to patients and/or families.
Ability to think critically under pressure.
Current, valid QMA license.
Leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to cooperate and supervise other personnel.
Independence in decision‑making concerning job duties.
Tactful dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, vendors, and the general public.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care.
Schedule Needs
8 or 12 hour shifts
Full‑time and part‑time QMA availability
Rotating holiday schedule
Weekend availability
