Assistant Construction Quality Control Manager
Harper Construction is seeking an Assistant Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a BEQ project at MCAS Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. Responsibilities
Manage quality functions including material management, documentation, and close‑out to ensure safe, efficient, and effective project execution.
Direct inspections, document findings, and update records accurately and promptly.
Read specifications and resources to determine requirements and planning procedures.
Lead and manage quality processes for submittals, shop drawings, and as‑builts.
Develop and implement project‑specific inspection and test plans and quality control plans.
Perform the USACE three phases of control: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow‑Up.
Support site safety to ensure projects comply with safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a four‑year accredited college/university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
Minimum 8 years experience as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar‑sized vertical construction contracts.
At least 2 years experience as QC Manager in construction.
Familiarity with EM 385‑1‑1 and experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
Current certificate for “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors”.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large ground‑up, military/federal/DOD vertical projects.
Working knowledge of Procore document control system.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $115,000 – $125,000, based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
Eligible for benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and vacation.
