Position Overview AP Specialist – Davidson Homes

On‑site Accounts Payable Specialist in the Alpharetta, GA office. You will administer accounts payable, process invoices, investigate discrepancies, and perform related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Ensure credit receipts for outstanding memos.

Apply compliance standards for accounts payable processes such as W‑9 and COIs, safeguarding confidential information.

Understand expense accounts and cost centers.

Accurately code transactions for general ledger and subledger accounts.

Confirm all invoices and payments are posted correctly; investigate and reconcile discrepancies, including vendor accounts and monthly statements.

Respond to vendor inquiries and provide customer service.

Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and maintain up‑to‑date job knowledge through training.

Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.

Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records accurately.

Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.

Proficient PC user with strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent data entry and general math abilities.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

High accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to meet high‑volume deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Reliability and trustworthiness.
