As a Senior Accountant, you will provide leadership in the support, review, and reconciliation of central accounting processes.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay: $80,000 - $85,000/year Essential Job Functions:
Perform month-end close activities, such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with sales tax, annual reporting, and other filings based on various federal, state, and local regulations.
Analyze financial statement information in conjunction with FP&A and explain/resolve variances.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
Support the annual audit and tax processes by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to your areas of responsibility.
Identify, document and implement accounting policies and process improvements.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects assigned by management
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting with track record of increasing responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or Master's degree.
Professional certification such as CPA is a plus, but not required.
Proficient in using NetSuite software preferred.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, strong Excel, and other general office equipment.
Strong knowledge of balance sheet, income statements, cash flow, A/P, A/R, and banking.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to proactively research, ask questions, and resolve problems.
Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
