Due to MSG’s continued growth, a new opening is available for 2 Project Inspectors to assist with our projects in either Shaker Heights, OH or Middleburg Heights, OH. Key Responsibilities
Interact with project partners such as clients, contractors and stakeholders. Read and interpret project plans and specifications. The inspector will report to the project engineers and report on contractor activities. Follow applicable QA/QC procedures. Measure, calculate, and determine all quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials. Report any deficiencies in the contractor’s work to the Project Engineer or Project Manager. Prepare daily inspector’s reports using various software such as Word, AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and Appia. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1–7 years of experience in transportation construction, inspection, and engineering (preferred, but entry‑level candidates are acceptable). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Experience with Microsoft Office tools, with capable math and writing skills. Computer skills including use of e‑mail, Excel and Word. Certifications and Training
ODOT pre‑qualification in ODOT inspector/engineer categories (preferred). NICET Highway Technician I, II, III or IV (preferred). ACI Field Technician Level 1 (preferred). Ohio Aggregate Level 1 (preferred). OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour (preferred). Valid driver license. Benefits
