Project: SR400 Express Lanes Project – a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16‑mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor. Construction began in late 2022; substantial completion is anticipated in 2031.

Job Description A Senior Accountant supports complex project accounting functions through preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of cost reports, and assurance of project pay form accuracy. The role oversees subcontractor insurance and bond compliance, assists with month‑end close and budget adjustments, establishes appropriate cost codes, and supports field timekeeping, certified payroll, equipment cost tracking, and onsite invoice processing. Acting as a liaison between project teams, vendors, and subcontractor accounting departments, the Senior Accountant ensures all financial activities align with project and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare project journal entries and reconcile cost reports for one or more projects.

Compile and analyze project pay forms to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.

Track insurance and bond information for all subcontractors.

Assist in month‑end closing, budget adjustments, and revisions as directed by the project team.

Set up cost codes and cost types for project needs.

Support field personnel time‑card entry, certified payroll and reporting.

Enter equipment time entry and reconcile equipment accruals.

Support accounts payable and onsite invoice entry to track project expenses and payments; work with project personnel to expedite payment and resolve issues.

Act as liaison between project team and vendors or subcontractor accounting teams.

Maintain knowledge of company values and strategic plan.

Support published corporate policies.

Perform additional assignments as directed by management.

Required Skills and Competencies

5+ years in construction field accounting experience or training preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Construction project accounting subject‑matter expertise.

Proven ability to support multiple project sites with varying levels of complexity.

Strong organization and attention to detail.

Strong time‑management and self‑prioritization skills.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Developing analytical skills.

Personal ownership of tasks and willingness to seek assistance when needed.
