Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in systems engineering.
Virtualization technologies (vSphere, vRX, Proxmox, Nutanix)
Experience with VMware
Network administration & security
Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
Linux & Windows operating systems
Windows Active Directory
Network hardware (Cisco, Arista, SonicWall)
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Security accreditation processes
Hybrid cloud & on‑premises infrastructure
DevSecOps practices and tools
Elasticsearch, Splunk, other data platforms
Python & C# automation and scripting
Database technologies (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak
Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
SAFe Agile methodologies
Forensic/investigative system requirements knowledge
Experience designing & implementing secure systems in government environments
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate, design, develop and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments and operating systems.
Provide direct support for day‑to‑day operations of network hardware and operating systems.
Troubleshoot at physical and logical network levels.
Participate in planning, design, technical review and implementation of new network infrastructure.
Perform systems management and integration across multi‑enclave environments.
Maintain network infrastructure standards, including communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems.
Ensure systems are current with approved patches and assist with certification and accreditation tasks.
Develop strategy for client/server systems and design infrastructure to support that strategy.
Advise on selection of technological purchases for processing, data storage, data access, and application development.
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
Support DevSecOps practices and tool implementation.
