BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Configuration Management Analyst to support an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will provide program and project management support to the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) Acquisition Programs and help extend SACCS systems life into the follow‑on Sentinel ICBM System.
Responsibilities
Apply configuration/data management principles to develop, streamline and document the Configuration Processes.
Apply Configuration Principles to Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition and Software Acquisition.
Enforce Systems Engineering processes to ensure Configuration Management is compliant with the Systems Engineering Plan.
Control and manage the engineering baseline for the project.
Conduct audits to ensure program development is compliant with Configuration Standards.
Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
Attend internal and external meetings to cover both business items and customer requirements.
Review and approve all correspondence delivered to the customer as a deliverable item.
Follow all required processes, especially the peer review process, to ensure quality of products being delivered.
Accountable to the Program Manager for tasks/assignments.
Serve as a focal point for individual tasks/projects.
Directly support government leadership and maintain strong customer relationships.
Maintain other duties as assigned.
Provide program and project management support for the SACCS Acquisition Programs.
Work exclusively at Hill Air Force Base, Utah; the position does not support telework.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience or a master’s degree with 5 years of experience.
At least 3 years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.
In‑depth knowledge of Configuration Management processes involving industry and Air Force Standards.
In‑depth knowledge of Systems Engineering Processes.
Working knowledge of engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
Experience in contractor engineering control/release processes.
Ability to apply complex management and administrative principles.
Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years.
Demonstrated self‑discipline to plan and prioritize work with successful results.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Previous work with DoD, USAF or other military organizations.
Experience with technical systems development.
General knowledge of MS Project, Primavera or other scheduling tools.
General knowledge of requirements management tools.
Knowledge of acquisition documents such as Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition, Statements of Work, and Performance Work Statements.
General knowledge of model‑based systems engineering processes.
Prior experience managing a program baseline.
