Role Description
Distinctive Design Studio is seeking entry-level and mid-level Architectural Drafters to support the development of high-quality architectural drawings and plan sets for residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for detail-oriented, motivated individuals who want to grow within a collaborative design environment. Responsibilities
Develop and produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications using CAD/BIM software and company standards for both residential and commercial projects Draft floor plans, elevations, details, etc. that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details with minimal errors Conduct research to ascertain applicable codes and standards, materials, and specifications as a basis for preparing drawings and contract documents Work on multiple projects simultaneously under limited supervision Conduct self-quality checks on project documentation and drawings Maintain organized project files and documentation Work with the design team to ensure project milestones are met Make site trips to assist with the scope of work required for the project Attend and assist with client, consultant, or contractor meetings Qualifications
Proficient with drafting software, such as Revit An understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction processes and methods Exceptional organizational and time management skills Mathematical aptitude and high attention to detail Strong desire to learn and be an integral part of a team environment Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal oversight Great analytical, problem solving, and communication skills Education & Experience
