Role Summary We are seeking a
Senior SAP Functional Analyst
with deep expertise in
SAP Materials Management (MM)
and
Work Management
to support Substation Operations. This contractor will serve as a functional SME, partnering with Business and IT stakeholders to improve material/inventory management, resource planning, and operational execution using SAP and supporting platforms such as
Snowflake .
Key Responsibilities
Act as the
functional SME
for SAP MM and inventory processes supporting substation operations, including materials, receiving, stocking, reservations, issues/returns, cycle counts, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
Support
work management workflows
tied to material consumption and job execution (work orders, notifications, planning, kitting/staging, crews, and scheduling dependencies).
Lead
cross‑functional requirements gathering
with operations, warehouse/storeroom teams, planners, schedulers, and IT through workshops, process mapping, and future‑state design.
Translate requirements into
functional specifications , user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data definitions, and test scenarios.
Configure and implement
SAP enhancements , coordinating with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and system improvements.
Define
data pipelines and reporting requirements
using Snowflake (or similar platforms) to enable inventory visibility, demand planning, and operational analytics.
Support testing, cutover readiness, and hypercare; develop
SOPs, runbooks, and end‑user documentation .
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with
SAP Materials Management (MM) , preferably in a utility or industrial environment.
Proven experience with
work management
and material integration into field execution (planning, staging/kitting, consumption posting, and returns).
Demonstrated ability to
lead cross‑functional workshops
and drive alignment across Business and IT stakeholders.
Experience delivering solutions
end‑to‑end
(requirements → design → configuration/build → testing → deployment).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
and related work management modules and integrations.
Experience designing
analytics and data products
using Snowflake, including dashboards, KPIs, demand signals, and exception reporting.
Familiarity with
utility substation operations , including maintenance programs, outage planning, and field execution realities.
Equipment This position requires a
laptop . In the event of major delays, an interim solution may include use of a
virtual desktop
on a personal or supplier‑provided device.
