We are seeking a skilled
Network Engineer II
to support a
6‑month onsite engagement
with our
Endurance client . This role is critical to maintaining a secure, high‑performance, and scalable enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across
Layer 2 through Layer 7
networking, with proven experience in routing protocols, firewall management, wireless systems, and Network Access Control (NAC). You will play a key role in designing resilient network solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity, enforcing security policies, and supporting network optimization. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic network initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Design and implement advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations to ensure high availability, redundancy, and optimal performance across enterprise networks.
Configure and manage dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP) and redundant gateway solutions (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP) to maintain resilient and fault‑tolerant operations.
Deploy and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce security standards and protect network traffic.
Manage and optimize wireless infrastructure by tuning Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) settings, applying RF design best practices, and resolving coverage, roaming, and throughput issues.
Implement and administer Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, including device profiling, posture assessment, and role‑based access policies to strengthen endpoint security.
Support network segmentation using VRFs and contribute to foundational BGP and MPLS configurations for multi‑tenant and scalable environments.
Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and proactively identify and resolve issues to reduce downtime and improve user experience.
Participate in change control processes, maintain accurate network documentation, and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.
Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, facilitating knowledge transfer, and supporting team development.
