Job Description ASSET MANAGEMENT: Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is one of the world’s leading asset managers with over $3 trillion in assets under supervision. INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT: GSAM delivers innovative investment solutions through a global, multi-product platform. YOUR IMPACT: The role is for a sector research analyst on the US Fundamental Equity team. Responsibilities include executing the investment research process, building and maintaining financial models, valuation analysis (comps, multiples, SOTP, DCF, IRR, Merger models, private market value), writing investment briefs and presentations, conducting company/industry due diligence, meeting with management teams and industry participants. The analyst will also uncover meaningful information, leveraging strong accounting background and valuation skills.
Responsibilities
Interview and assess company management
Maintain company models
Statistical analysis of economic data, fundamentals, and relevant correlations
Update and maintain target and valuation sheets
Review 10Q/Ks and annual reports
Analyze market share, macro trend, and cross-company and sub-sector data
Lead company-specific projects
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and MBA
3 or more years of relevant experience in a buy‑side role
Strong modelling, analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency with competitive analysis
Keen interest in investment management
Willingness to travel
Ability to present research to senior stakeholders

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States‑based position is $100,000–$170,000. In addition, discretionary bonus may be available to active employees as of fiscal year‑end.
