We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Payroll Specialist
to manage end-end payroll operations for approximately 800 employees, including coordination with our Asia team. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and skilled in payroll processing and reporting.

Core Responsibilities Payroll Processing: Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions; process bi-weekly or monthly pay cycles for hourly and salaried employees.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure accurate withholding and reporting of federal, state, and local taxes; process wage garnishments and tax levies.
Record Maintenance: Update employee data (new hires, terminations, rate changes) in the payroll system and maintain confidential files.
Reporting: Prepare payroll journals, tax filings (e.g., W-2s, 1099s), and ad-hoc financial reports for management or auditors.
Employee Support: Serve as the primary contact for inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, deductions, and benefits.
Auditing: Conduct regular audits of timesheets and payroll records to ensure 100% accuracy and data integrity.
Required Qualifications 2–5 years of proven experience in payroll or a related accounting role.
High school diploma or GED is the minimum; a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is often preferred.
Hands‑on experience with payroll platforms such as ADP and Workday or Darwinbox.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and strong numerical aptitude.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) offered by PayrollOrg (formerly APA).
Knowledge of varying tax laws across multiple state jurisdictions.
High attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
