Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Plant Cost Accountant, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for collections, accounts payable, assisting accounts receivable, customer service, and basic administrative support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receptionist responsibilities: answering phones, filing, copying, printing, and general clerical duties.
Answering the main phone line and sales transfer line and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
Maintaining confidentiality in all administrative activities.
Scanning and filing documents for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Performing SAP cash reconciliations.
Assisting with accounts receivable and collection duties.
Processing accounts payable invoices.
Providing backup for bank deposit runs when required.
Generating and collecting daily audit reports and attestation reports as directed by the supervisor.
Entering missed punches, cost center changes, and absence request forms via the UKG timekeeping system daily.
Collaborating with Subsidiary HR to report clock or payroll related items.
Traveling to the Roseville admin office for training as needed.
Performing duties assigned by the Subsidiary Credit Manager, Plant Cost Accountant, and Operations Manager.
Abiding by all safety rules and reporting hazardous conditions.
Keeping the workspace clean and clutter‑free.
Maintaining predictable and regular attendance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college level accounting coursework preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of receptionist experience; experience in collections, accounts receivable, or accounts payable is a plus.
Experience in the concrete block and/or sack industry is a plus.
SAP experience preferred but not required.
On‑the‑job training required to perform duties.
Strong organizational skills for managing repetitive tasks.
Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, accounting, and mathematical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and motivate peers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, 10‑key adding machine, copier, fax machine, and other office equipment.
Valid driver’s license required for occasional bank deposit runs.
Predictable and regular attendance required.
Physical Demands
Valid driver’s license for light travel to customers, bank deposits, and training in Roseville.
Hands required for handling, reaching, and operating office equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend at the waist, and lift up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
Office setting with moderate noise.
Occasional plant environment with loud machinery, dust, and moisture.
Outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures possible.
Mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
Salary Range $25.00/hr – $30.00/hr (DOE)
