About the Role
We’re seeking a
Senior IT Business Analyst
with deep expertise in
Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD)
and
Commodity Trading (Oil & Gas) . You’ll act as the bridge between business and technology—mapping complex RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles, shaping scalable algorithmic trading solutions, and partnering with traders, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Delivery:
Gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions across front/middle office workflows.
Map RFQ, order, allocation, and settlement lifecycles; identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Ensure end-to-end delivery and operational readiness with development, QA, and support teams.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as SME for ETD trading systems, instrument static data, market data, and connectivity (EMS/OMS).
Guide algorithmic trading design ensuring MiFID II/RTS 6 compliance; support audits and evidence gathering.
Platform & Connectivity:
Contribute to FIX engineering (sessions, schemas, certification, monitoring).
Support exchange certification, deployments, and production support.
Collaborate with vendors (TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen) for connectivity and upgrades.
Regulatory & Controls:
Implement regulatory initiatives (MiFID II, EMIR, MAD/MAR, FCA).
Embed controls across order capture, execution, allocation, settlement, and compliance workflows.
Troubleshooting & Optimization:
Assist with production issue triage; debug messaging systems and network protocols (TCP, multicast).
Drive improvements in resiliency, scalability, and latency across trading platforms.
Required Experience & Skills
Industry Knowledge:
8+ years in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets/Investment Banking.
Strong understanding of global futures exchanges and ETD workflows.
Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and liquidity aggregation platforms.
Technical Skills:
Proven IT Business Analyst experience in trading environments (Front/Middle Office).
FIX protocol engineering and connectivity troubleshooting.
Proficiency in Windows/Linux; scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL).
Exposure to messaging systems and network debugging (TCP, multicast).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong communication; comfortable in high‑pressure trading environments.
Proactive, adaptable, and deadline‑driven.
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Certifications: FRM, CFA, MiFID II/RegTech programs (a plus).
