Position Description The Junior HR Generalist supports the HR department in the areas of onboarding and offboarding employees, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, HR data management, employee events, recruitment, and other projects as needed.
Essential Functions
Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Adhere to labor laws and company policies.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee concerns.
Maintain up‑to‑date, accurate employee records in the HRIS.
Prepare HR reports and assist with audits.
Process employee terminations in the HR system.
Assign HR Classroom compliance training for employees in third‑party platform.
Assist with new hire onboarding process, including Form I‑9 verification, background screening data input, and orientation.
Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews and applicant paperwork as needed.
Support benefits enrollment and address routine benefits questions.
Support Benefit Administration with FMLA and Short‑term/long‑term claims.
Assist with employee events.
Assist with coordination of New Hire Breakfast.
May fill in for, assist, or interface with other departments as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Strong experience with MS Office Applications.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education
BS/AB degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of HR or related experience.
Knowledge of HR principles and employment laws a plus.
