Artic Slope Technical Services Inc (ASTS) is seeking a
Mid-level Field/Technical Support Specialist
to join our Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This is a full-time
on-site
position (no remote or hybrid work) .
RMLS is the FAA’s logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file.
We are looking for an experienced individual to provide technical support for the NAS Monitoring Team (NMT) as part of RMLS. The successful candidate will interface with RMLS users and other specialists in hardware, software, logistics, testing, system and database administration for RMLS troubleshooting, field support, and documentation.
All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.
Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA).
Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.
The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time.
Relocation Requirement Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Education Requirement All Non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate.
High School Diploma or GED with
six (6) years of related work experience .
Associate's degree in Computer Science or Math, or in another technical field with a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and four (4) years of related work experience.
OR
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science an d two (2) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field. OR
Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
Required Skills
Knowledge/experience in:
Creation of "How-To" studio videos (i.e., Camtasia).
Interpretation and analyzing complex information system data to develop technical documents, system diagrams, and videos.
Identifying time sensitive issues, resolutions, and possible escalation in high pressure situations.
Ability to:
Work independently, as well as a team, including with outside vendors.
Research and problem solve.
Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge/experience in:
Jira
Confluence
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Concepts
Essential Daily Job Duties
Provide 2nd Level Engineering support for RMLS:
Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software using the back-end and front-end technologies listed above.
Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meeting, and any other meetings as requested to support program and team.
Utilize JIRA ticketing system.
Develop and maintain test processes and procedures.
Work in an agile team environment.
Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule.
Occasional travel.
