RayTek Federal is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to support a large-scale project centered around the design and construction of a new data center. Candidates must bring deep technical expertise in mechanical or electrical systems for data centers or comparable high-demand facilities, along with strong communication and coordination skills.
Requirements Overall
Must be a US citizen
Must be willing to locate to Oak Ridge, TN if not local
Clearance not required, however must be willing to do a background check in accordance with RayTek policy to confirm you are a US citizen, no criminal history, a drug test, etc
Excellent communication, documentation, and technical collaboration skills
Strong communication and interdisciplinary engineering coordination skills
Mechanical Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in data center construction/renovation or other power- and cooling-intensive mechanical infrastructure.
Hands‑on experience with:
Piping and HVAC systems
Water‑cooled data center mechanics (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, PCW systems)
Strong background in energy efficiency engineering and mechanical optimization.
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Electrical Engineer Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in data center construction/renovation or other critical electrical infrastructure projects.
Preferred experience with:
UPS and generator system design
Strong understanding of electrical redundancy schemes (N, N+1, 2N), load management, and mission‑critical power reliability
Professional Engineer (PE) license
