Description POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Manager, Application Support is to support all BJU INC and BJU Press functions through research, analysis, and recommendation of new technology and business processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary research to discover, recognize and analyze emerging education technology trends

Determine applicability of trends to business processes, methodologies and applications

Analyze internal business processes and methodologies to recommend process engineering/re-engineering for efficient operation, growth and transformation

Develop and publish business process requirements and evaluate the resulting vendor responses (RFI, RFP, RFQ)

Recommend and initiate business improvement projects

Participant in brainstorming and planning sessions to establish and execute departmental vision and goals in alignment with BJU Inc. and BJU Press visions and goals

Preserve organizational knowledge

Maintain technical proficiency

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of educational technologies as well as product creation and delivery systems

Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from research, survey, and technical data

Understanding of emerging learning technologies, standards, and applications

Ability to lead individuals in a grace filled environment and to help those you lead with their growth.

Written and oral communication and customer service skills

Experience and skill in preparing and executing an executive briefing

Good analytical skills

Aptitude to learn new technologies

Ability to organize and prioritize workload

Ability to adjust to changing requirements

Computer Skills

Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

Basic understanding of networking and server applications

Conceptual knowledge of Internet technology and associated systems
