Job Description CRB is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Architect IV to lead architectural design efforts for complex Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech projects. This role focuses on GMP‑compliant facilities, cleanroom design, personnel/ material flows, and adjacency planning.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design for life sciences projects, including conceptual planning, schematic design, and construction documentation.

Generate complex code analyses, life safety and egress plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and specifications for large projects of advanced complexity with no oversight.

Develop and coordinate cleanroom layouts, GMP spaces, and critical adjacencies to optimize personnel and material flows.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, MEP, and construction professionals.

Serve as the primary architectural liaison with clients, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

Mentor junior architects and contribute to the development of architectural standards and best practices.

Ensure compliance with International building codes, Florida building codes, GMP regulations, and industry standards.

Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.

Qualifications

Licensed Architect (Florida) and NCARB certification (required).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

15+ years architectural experience, with at least 5 years in Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotech sectors.

Proven experience with cleanroom design, GMP facilities, and regulated environments.

Strong understanding of personnel/material flow, adjacency planning, and facility programming.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.

LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
