Principal Recruiter at Motion Recruitment One of the leading providers of best-in-class information technology services and solutions is looking for a Data Center Consultant to join their Memphis, TN team! This role would require about 90% travel to various sites around the US.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on data center experience, including rack/stack and hardware installation
Experience working with copper and fiber cabling
Basic Linux CLI knowledge for troubleshooting and system checks
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 concepts
Ability to configure and verify network devices at a basic level
Experience working with server hardware from vendors such as Dell, HP, or Supermicro
Daily Responsibilities
Install, configure, and troubleshoot server, storage, and networking hardware in enterprise data centers
Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure
Run, terminate, and manage structured cabling, including copper, fiber, and power
Perform Layer 1 diagnostics and resolve hardware-related issues
Navigate Linux-based operating systems for basic troubleshooting and verification
Assist with basic configuration and validation of network devices using vendor CLIs
