Entry Level Environmental Remediation Engineer - Winter 2026 Join Jacobs as an Entry Level Environmental Remediation Engineer and help deliver innovative environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private‑sector clients.

Base pay range : $58,656 to $76,350 per year.

We’re looking for an environmental professional (engineer or geologist) based in Charlotte, NC, who can manage fieldwork and data analysis, write technical reports, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Design, perform, or oversee soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations.

Build and manage teams of colleagues and subcontractors, coordinating fieldwork logistics.

Analyze and interpret data, preparing technical reports and participating in meetings with clients and regulators.

Maintain Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

0–2 years of experience within environmental consulting or a related field.

Local to Charlotte, NC or Cary, NC (or willing to relocate). Ability to travel 60‑75% of the time.

Strong interpersonal skills: building relationships, resolving conflict, and participating in diverse teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data management software.

U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license.

Preferred: 3.0 GPA, Master’s degree, professional engineering or geology license, knowledge of USEPA regulations (CERCLA, RCRA), HAZWOPER certification, or EIT certification.
