JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of a manager or director and according to established policies and procedures, the Analyst I performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria. The Analyst I performs workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management and support of assigned application systems and/or projects. Directly interacts with assigned department managers and senior level staff to provide automation services in support of department’s strategic and operational objectives. Maintains system specification and technical documentation. On occasion, acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and TGH. Participates in department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Employs intermediate analytical and technical evaluative process; managerial and interpersonal perspectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Highschool or GED
Up to 2+ years of information technology / applications experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate of Arts or Associate of Science
Up to 2+ years of information technology / applications or healthcare operations experience. Industry recognized certification(s) for assigned systems.
Operational knowledge of healthcare areas such as nursing, perioperative services, emergency department and support services.
This position has been evaluated as a Level III in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) definition of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Level III positions in this category require the performance of tasks which do not involve exposure to blood and potentially infectious body fluids.
