Summary
Leads concept development and one‑line designs for data center power distribution and protection from 480 V to 161 kV. Ensures safe, reliable, and code‑compliant power system architecture from utility interface down to IT loads. Provides PE stamp as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop system one‑line diagrams and power flow concepts
Perform load studies, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, and protection studies
Define ratings, configurations, and protection schemes for high‑, medium‑, and low‑voltage reclosures, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, busway, generator systems, and related equipment
Provide technical direction and design criteria to Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for detailed design, ensuring consistency with the overall system concept
Review and approve system studies, equipment selections, and key drawings to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE standards, utility interconnection requirements, and customer specifications
Develop and provide to purchasing detailed equipment specifications and work with Purchasing to review electrical equipment OEMs quotations and documentation
Support customer and internal design reviews; present study results and address technical questions from EPCs, utilities, and AHJs
Collaborate with Product Manager, Project Manager, and Supply Chain to optimize system designs for performance, safety, cost, and constructability
Serve as a subject‑matter expert during factory testing and commissioning, assisting with troubleshooting and design clarifications as needed
Compliance with all Company policies is required, including adherence to Company ISO 9001 standards and compliance with Company affirmative action plan and Company safety procedures
Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug‑free workplace is required
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Scope, Purpose, and Frequency of Contacts The position requires daily contact with all levels of TWMC and customers including Engineering, Marketing, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Service and Accounting.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are representative of the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from a four‑year college or university with five or more years of related work experience; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in power system design
Hands‑on experience with ETAP, SKM or similar analysis tools
Deep knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards
Experience with large‑scale data centers preferred
Familiarity with MV gear (5–38 kV), generator paralleling, and microgrid concepts preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain within 12 months

Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Working knowledge of statistical tools

Supervision Received General supervision will be provided. Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work effectively and take ownership of assigned projects in a fast‑paced environment.
