Summary
The ServiceNow Developer will focus on building and enhancing solutions on the ServiceNow platform through scripting, automation, integrations, and AI-driven capabilities. This position will partner closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, well-governed ServiceNow applications while maintaining platform performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Design and develop Client-side and Server-side scripts including business rules, script includes, and UI policies.
Build workflows and automations using Flow Designer and legacy workflow tools.
Configure forms, fields, and user interface components to improve usability.
Develop integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Create custom applications using ServiceNow Studio and AppEngine.
Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing system health.
Review code and ensure alignment with development and governance standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience.
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, scripting, and AI capabilities.
Proficiency in JavaScript and the Glide API.
Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work primarily on‑site with limited remote flexibility after an initial period.
Preferred
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or SAM modules.
Background in API‑based integrations.
ServiceNow Administrator experience supporting coverage and continuity.
Contract Details This is a 6‑month Contract‑for‑Hire opportunity with our Lenexa, KS client. Employee benefits include Medical/Dental Benefits, Paid time off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k). H1‑B Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. No third‑parties, please.
