Shift Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Job Summary Facilitate and lead activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of production, calibration and customer claims by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
Improve, develop and initiate standards and methods for examination, inspection, measurement and testing of material used to manufacture product
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of product based on documented company specifications (i.e. drawing, procedure, work instructions, etc.)
Aid in coaching and understanding of blueprint reading. Participate and/or lead in 8D or similar problem‑solving methodologies
Perform setups of calibrated equipment, follow calibration procedures and technical specification drawings to validate product conformance
Investigate/troubleshoot internal and external customer complaints. Maintain records, certifications and documentation for completed inspections
Disposition material and coordinate with suppliers, purchasing and sourcing teams on supplied material to resolve a wide range of situations
Provide tactical quality support to operations. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees
Recommend improved EH&S and Quality Improvement practices. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, Trade school certification or GED equivalent required.
At least 2 (two) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines.
At least 2 (two) or more years of experience using conventional measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, microscopes, optical comparators).
At least 2 (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
At least 1 (one) or more years of demonstrated root cause analysis experience
At least 1 (one) or more years of experience in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable working with heights
Core Competencies
Capable of utilizing conventional measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes and other types of inspection devices.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 procedures, root cause analysis
Understanding Lean / 6 Sigma principles
Possesses computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and Excel
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload under shifting demands.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferences
Prior experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (e.g., cherry picker, reach truck, forklift).
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and procedures.
Experience with root cause analysis for process or quality improvement.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Physical Requirements
Required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, machining oils/coolants from handling coated parts and to coolant/oil mists which are below OSHA's permissible levels of exposure.
Noise level could be loud due to the different machinery being operated (i.e. forklifts, hand tools, machines in other departments) and the testing that occurs.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
This position will be fully based on site based at the Charlotte, North Carolina Facility.
